Ranch
Garden Pack Trip Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive Loreto. Airport
greeting. Orientation meeting with guide. Overnight
included at Loreto Hotel.
Day 2 - Breakfast and departure
by van to mountain ranch trailhead. Ride traditional
trails from the ranch to the quaint historic
village of San Javier. Visit the mission and
gardens. Overnight in small rustic cabin.
Days 3 - 5 - Ride south of
the village to ranches, desert gardens and oasis
pools. Some riding will be along little used
mountain dirt roads, some over ridges and old
canyon trails. This trip offers a wonderful
opportunity to meet some of the local folks,
and learn the history and ranch culture of Old
California. Tents and campfires under the stars.
Day 6 - We ride back to our
ranch trailhead today and mid day return to
Loreto. Afternoon in town, and a hosted end
of trip dinner with guides in Loreto. Overnight
in Loreto Hotel.
Day 7 - Morning and breakfast
on your own. We will arrange for taxi departures
to the flights today. Hasta luego, and we hope
to see you again in Loreto!
For an 8 day Ranch Garden Ride
an additional day is spent riding on a historic
trails to more ranches.
